Lifestyle Changes That Reduce Snoring

There are many different variations and forms of snoring that aren’t curable through conventional methods so we turn to natural treatments and vice versa.
Weight Loss
A common cause of snoring is being overweight of suffering from obesity. The obvious solution to this is to exercise and be in shape. Not only will it reduce snoring but you’ll also be healthier. A real win-win situation. The heavier body mass of those overweight makes it that much easier for your fleshy throat to block your air passages.
Stop Smoking and Drinking
Both these activites cause irritation and ifflamation of the throat and air passages. Tobacco found in cigarettes and cigars can effect the cells lining your air passages causing theme to be effected differently by the air passing through your body, and can cause excessive mucus build up, leaving less room for air to move in and out of the mouth.
Alcohol relaxes the skin tissue, in turn closing the gap in the throat making it difficult for air to pass with ease, which will increase vibration and snoring.
Sleep Posture
One of the most common and easiest methods of stoping or reducing snoring is to simply change the position in which you sleep. Sleeping on your pack promotes relaxation of the soft pallet, which will, you guessed it, close the air passages. Sleeping on ones side will actually open the throat to promote easier breathing, be preventing the jaw form slipping back causing blockage. Elevating ones neck and head will also work wonders.
